Default RYO'S, MYO and SYO Smokers

At this time, we no longer sell loose tobacco.

On Feb. 4, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPR Act) into law. CHIPR went into effect on April 1, 2009 increasing the previous tax rate for loose tobacco from $1.10 per pound to $24.78 per pound.

On April 1, 2009, our most popular brand of loose tobacco, Skydancer Full Flavor, went from costing $16 per pound to $40.78 per pound. Unfortunately, since it became more expensive to roll your own Skydancer Full Flavors than to buy a carton of Skydancers Full Flavors, the one pound bag was discontinued.

This massive unfair tax increase took Native American companies out of the RYO market.

Who mandates the massive percentage increase in loose tobacco tax? "This is absurd."
